removing radiator cooling fan
I don't know if this is considered an add on, or a take off, but I removed my fan off my nissan 4x4 pickup last year and added an electric fan. I have found I rarely have to use the electric fan unless I am doing a lot of idling, which I try not to do anyway. the truck comes stock with a 160 degree thermostat. I might even consider swithching to a 180 degree thermostat since the truck runs so cold even without a fan. If I switch thermostats, I will probably switch to evans waterless coolant. I run it in all my diesel powered rigs, and like the protection it gives at higher temps.

Re: removing radiator cooling fan
I have a 192F stat in my '86 gas engine Z24i 4x4. Did you see any mpg gain from adding the elect fans?
In summer I'm seeing 24 mpg mixed and 25 mpg highway. Have seen no gain so far from HHO or sensor tuning.
Radiator Fan Trouble
I got the same trouble with the radiator fan before after my car crash on a tree. It is easy to remove the fan but I got some trouble detaching it. I end up bringing it to a mechanic. I suggest you do the same if the you haven't remove it until now.
